I felt the cool evening wind in my face as I sat on the back of the big eagle. The druid could do some amazing tricks, afterall he was very usefull despite his cowardice. Leaving the walls of the not-so-rich-anymore city behind us, we flew north towards the city-which-name-I-have-forgot. After some hours in the sky we landed in a clearing in the forest. We made camp and the ninja and I got to sleep while the driud kept watch. Suddenly the druid kicked me hard in the side (as he use to do to wake people for some reason) and I drew my swords and looked around for sign of threats. The druid pointed into the darkness and said that there were someone or something there. All i saw was blackness. The ninja insisted that he also saw something, so he sneaked away. When he came back all he could say was that he had seen some lights floating in thin air. I thought that both he and the driud was seeing things. But when I borrowed the ninjas magical googles i could see that there were something over there, but since they didn't theaten us I didn't bother to pick a fight. So we slept thru the night with nothing more happening. When i woke in the morning the driud came with a deer he had hunted, so we got a tasty breakfast. We had a real cosy place there in the forest and I wouldn't have minded to stay there for one more night, but duty called. The druid talked about how he used to live in a forest like this, but that seemed just like insanity to me. Which sane person would want to live in the middle of the wilderness with no roof over their head and only the animals to keep you company? So we headed out on the road and walked northwards.
After some hours we walked by a farm. The door of the farmhouse had been torn open and none where to be seen. We searched the farmhouse and found a trapdoor to a cellar. We got down there and found a strange door. It was totaly black with a shining surface, it was hard as steel and couldn't be opened. There wasn't even a handle on it. The druid said he heard chanted wispering and got scared and tried to get out the fasted he could. The trapdoor closed in his face. Was we trapped in there or was it just the wind which had made it close? The druid tried to push it open without any problem. We got out of there quite fast and discussed what to do. The druid was convinced it must had been a powerfull evil wizard down there, but did for some reason not want to face him. But since we could figure out how to open the door we journeyed on.
A bit further ahead the road splitted in two. We stopped up for a moment discussing what way to take and if to fly up to get a better view when we suddenly heard a horse comming against us. We ran into the forest and hid. The rider stopped by where we was hiding and suddenly charged his horse right against my hiding place behind two bushes. I instantly drew my swords and prapared for the attack. He commanded me to lay down my weapons and come with him. I asked by what autority and he said that he was a paladin of "blablabla". Since it was a fellow servant of the law I put my weapons away and told him about our assignment. And it proved that we had a common cause, getting rid of the infestation of Eryth-null worshippers in the lands. More paladins arrived as we spoke. We told them about the house we had just searched and the strange door in the callar. They insisted we came with them to show them the door. It proved that this house had been inhabited by Eryth-null worshippers and that a wizard had gottan away when they had raided the house.
We arrived at the house and showed them the door. They asked us to step outside and take cover, while a dwarf came in with a string of some sort and a some stuff in a backpack. After some minutes he came out and also took cover. We lay there for several minutes while nothing happened, but then suddenly a deafening sound - kaboom! Everyone were moving there lips but i could hear nothing. I tried to ask the druid if he could hear what they were saying, but he just looked at me with a puzzeled look. I got up and walked towards where the house was, or had been. Now there was just a pile of rubble and splitered wood in a big crater. But the door was still standing. What was this door, it must be magical or something i thought. As people were gathering around the door I started to hear what people were saying again. Two haughty wizards came over and begun examining the door. Our druid asked what the writing on the door said and began writing on a paper and discussing with the ninja. I went over at the door and looked at it more closely. It didn't seem to be any way to open it, just as well to stand here and see what the smart-asses over there could figure out with all their big brains. But as i leaned at the door it suddenly opened and reaveled a blue fog-like inside. It certainly grabbed the wizards attention and the began casting spells and performing many wierd experiments, like throwing stone thru it. The wierd thing was that it didn't come out at the other side. The ninja and the druid was to cought up in trying to solve the puzzle to notice. After some time the druid handed to paper to one of the wizards and who read it alound: "Door to glory." Then suddenly the fog shifted and it revealed a firery chasm. "Its the seventh hell!" one of them screamed "no, its the plane of fire!" the otherone responded. So they began to argue. But none of them thought of looking at the other side. That side showed the top of a tower, like the one that belonged to Eryth-null, which we escaped some time ago. But none of the paladins were brave enough to enter, and just 3 people against maybe a whole bunch of Eryth-null followers would be bad odds, even for us.
So they somehow closed to portal. tore it loose and took it with them. Before we went on, we were warned about the danger ahead. There was a swamp with many nasty creatures and even a black dragon which used to hunt there!
After sleeping over at the paladins encampment we went on and arrived at a small village at afternoon. The ninja and I came riding on the druid, who was a horse for the moment. It seemed they were preparing for war. They were building a palisade and had barred their windows and they all looked very nervous. I asked at the inn and the innkeeper told me that they were suffering from goblin attacks and that they had raided the city each week lately. I said that we could propably help them with the gobling problem if he could tell me where they had their lair. I asked the rest of the group and they too were up for some goblin killing!

The Adventures of Shar'Atan pt. 1
Her får dere en smakebit... mer vil følge!

This was the fight he had been waiting for, Shar'Atan knew this was the opportunity to prove his worth. The dungeon had given him and the party many tough challanges already. The gigantuan snake by the bridge was maybe the most fearsome beast until now. That beast almost killed Shar'Atan while he bravely fought it one-on-one while the druid and the mage stood in the back and summoned and blasted it with spells. But where was the ninja? Shar'Atan couldn't see him anywhere as he furiously swong his katana and wakasashi against the creatures hide. Was he out hiding again?! He couldn't believe it, that coward! But thankfully the druid managed to make a couple of bears pop up beside him that proved a heavily needed assistance. Shar'Atan striked the snake hard several times, but got hit just as hard back. Then the snake lowered his head and breathed his acid breath right at our dear samurai. Shar'Atan felt that he was dangerousely close to death and decided to take and tactical retreat and leave the expendable animals to take the blows. He ran all he could back to the rest of the party. As he turned around to look at the huge beast, it lay there dead as a dead something it was. Finally they had managed to kill that horrid thing, a snake as larger than any creature he had seen before! He thought of the slaughtering of the hundred-or-so kobolds and how easy that was compared to this!
Shar'Atan also thought about the 3 rather arrogant adventurers that suddenly attacked the party for no reason. That fight was even easier than the kobolds! This battle was also in the room by the bridge. The fighter was the first to attack. He was reckless enough to charge past both our samurai and the pet-wolf of the druid. Shar'Atan first delivered a hard critical blow against his side and cut him up bad. But the fighter just kept on towards the druid and was teared down by the wolf. It was then easy work for our samurai to finish him of with a leathal slice and dice with his swords. The enemy mage turned his attention to where they stood and let it fall a ice storm on them. The barbarian, now in rage for the death of his reckless brother, proved himself even more reckless as he charged into the ice storm to kill the druid. But he never got that far, 'cause the lion the druid had just summoned jumped at him and pinned him to the ground as he mircilessly tore at him with his paws. Shar'Atan saw that the druid and his animals had the situation under controlled and ran towards the wizard. He suddenly saw the ninja appear out of nothing and deliver a suprising blow at the wizard. Shar'Atan could just finish him of with a slice from his katana. After no more than 15 seconds the battle was over. The greedy adventurers who had considered our party as an easy picking had proved themself to be just that.
This was definitly their greatest challange ever! The image had told them that they were up against a truly horrid umberhulk. Shar'Atan didn't know what an umberhulk was, but he understood that this umberhulk was of the truly horrid kind. The druid told him that this creature was a terrible thing to face and would likely mean the death of them all, and that its gaze could make him get so confused that he ran around attacking everything he saw, even other party members! Shar'Atan said that he didn't get so easily confused and that it was nothing to worry about! They got the items found at the just defeated adventurers identified. It proved to be a bunch of truly powerful items. Shar'Atan finally got the new and better armor he had waited for so long. Now they were ready to face that horrid umberhulk thing! The druid began to summon, and our samurai swung open the door and entered the room with the ninja right behind him. In the centre of the large oval room stood the dreaded creature motionless, like he had stood there for centuries just waiting for some over-eager adventurers to kill. It was almost as huge as the snake-creature and had tusks sticking out of his mouth. The druid summoned a bear right beside the thing that started to attack it right away. He also sent his pet-wolf against the thing. The wolf made a nip in its toe and the "hulk" responded by crushing the wolf with his big hands, fataly wounding the poor thing which literaly led with its tail behind its legs. Shar'Atan charged as the ninja climbed a plattform by the wall and readied his crossbow. Our samurai hit him hard with his katana and the flames burned thru its hard skin. The druid had turned himself into a little bird and flew high up and started summoning again. From his high ventage point he got to witness a rare sight, as the dire lion he just had summoned jumped at the umberhulk with such a force that made the huge beast fall to the ground. The bear jumped at it there it lay on its back and stroke him hard with his big claws. Shar'Atan now had both his swords out and unleashed a flurry of blows at the now prone umberhulk. It looked like the "hulk" finally started to get wounded. But the umberhulk got tired of lying there prone and threw off both the lion and the bear quite easily. It started to rise up as as bolts flew seemingly out of nowhere and hit him where it hurt. When it was back at its feet, the druid had managed to summon another animal, a dire wolf that started to attack him. Now the huge thing was sorrounded be 3 large animals and a furious samurai. Another couple of bolts flew thru the sky and striked the "hulk" as the animals and samurai hit it with all they got. The bear delivered the second blow and managed to pull him down again, but this time it never rose again. Still cought up in the furious fight the samurai and the animals continued to strike at it until they realised it was dead. The truly horrid umberhulk had been defeated! It was not a small task for such a small party of eager, but relativily unexperienced adventurers. Now fame awaited as the plattform was raised and our party found itself in an arena with a cheering crowd. They were presented with they reward of 200 000 gold each delivered by a most unpleased mayor.
